Witkoff Cancels Israel Visit for Iran Talks

(MENAFN) US envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner canceled a planned visit to Israel on Tuesday, Israeli media reported. The trip was intended for talks on the ongoing war with Iran, but no reason for the cancellation was provided.

Channel 12 reported the cancellation, though neither Israeli nor US authorities immediately confirmed it.

The visit comes amid heightened tensions in the region after the US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which killed over 1,200 people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has since retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
