Fragments of Iranian Missile Fall Near Damascus After Israeli Interception
Ibrahim Al-Mousa, a resident of nearby Al-Mushaqaq, said the interception caused fear and panic among locals, particularly children. He added that if debris had hit a house, it could have caused damage.
Similar incidents have occurred recently in southern Syria, including Daraa and Quneitra, as missile debris from the ongoing US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory attacks has fallen in civilian areas.
Since Feb. 28, when the US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran, over 1,200 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have reportedly been killed. Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military forces.
