Trump Says US-Israeli War on Iran Will End “Soon” as Targets Diminish

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that the US and Israeli military campaign against Iran is expected to conclude "soon," noting that the strikes have left "practically nothing left to target" within the country.

"Little this and that -- any time I want it to end, it will end," Trump said during a brief phone interview with Axios.

He stressed that the decision to end the conflict rests solely with him, following earlier remarks that the conclusion of operations would be determined jointly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Israeli and US officials reportedly anticipate that the campaign could continue for at least another two weeks.

US Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, in a video shared on the social media platform X on Wednesday, stated that US strikes have hit over 5,500 targets and destroyed more than 60 ships, including all of Iran’s Sulaymani-class warships, significantly curtailing Iran’s naval and industrial capabilities.
