Israeli Troops Storm Syria's Quneitra Countryside, Open Fire Near Dam
A convoy of seven Israeli military vehicles penetrated the area and "fired intensively into the air to intimidate residents before withdrawing toward its military positions," according to the news agency.
Earlier the same day, the news agency reported that Israeli troops had detained three individuals during separate incursions across Quneitra province — among them, two children.

Israeli military activity across southern Syria has escalated into a near-daily pattern in recent months, encompassing home raids, the installation of checkpoints, and the repeated detention of civilians — including children and shepherds.
The current occupation traces back to December 2024, when Israel declared the landmark 1974 disengagement agreement null and void in the immediate aftermath of Bashar al-Assad's fall from power, subsequently pushing forces into the designated Syrian buffer zone.
Despite the new Damascus administration refraining from issuing any direct threats against Israel, Israeli forces have continued to conduct airstrikes deep inside Syrian territory since Assad's ouster — operations that have claimed civilian lives and systematically dismantled military infrastructure, vehicles, and weapons stockpiles.
