Israeli Forces, Settlers Open Fire Near School in Al-Mughayyir

(MENAFN) The school day had only just started on Tuesday when sudden gunfire erupted, disrupting what had been a routine morning.

Inside classrooms, children were beginning their lessons, teachers were preparing for the day, and residents were going about their normal activities in the Palestinian village of Al-Mughayyir, located northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. At that time, Israeli occupiers, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, reportedly entered the area surrounding the local school and opened fire.

The situation escalated rapidly, and within moments the school environment descended into chaos and fear.

Two Palestinians were killed in the incident, among them a 14-year-old boy, while several others sustained injuries. As the violence unfolded, parents and local residents rushed toward the school in an attempt to evacuate students who were still inside.

For villagers, the incident was described as part of a wider and ongoing pattern of violence affecting the community, which they view as a sustained campaign intended to pressure residents into abandoning their homes.
